Stark Family Pictures

So the wind and rain finally stopped sometime Saturday night which gave us a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon. I took my brother, his fiance, and her girls to do some family photos one last time before the weather gets to cold. I think everyone else had the same idea, there were about 6 photographers there taking pictures. The park looked great with all the fall leaves on the ground, it was a perfect backdrop for pictures. I brought along a few props for the girls, they had a great time. I was able to get some great pictures of the girls, everyone as a family and also some engagement pictures. It was a great way to spend the afternoon. Here are a few of my favorites, enjoy!

A Great Fall day for pictures

So today was a decent day weather wise. It was pretty cloudy but it wasn't raining and it was warm outside. We decided to go ahead and take advantage of the weather and try to get some pictures of the boys one last time before all the leaves fall. We were hoping for some family pictures for our Christmas card but were lucky to get the couple of shots I did get of the boys together. Emerson wasn't in the mood for pictures today so he went and played on the playground with dad while I took some pictures of Damian around the park. It was pretty busy there today, lots of photographers doing photo shoots! I'm really happy with the way the pictures turned out, the trees look beautiful with the bright colors, I think we picked the right time to go over there. I really like how the leaves seems to bring out the blue in Damian's eyes in some of the pictures. I hadn't done his soccer pictures yet for this season so we figured we better do it now while it warm. I hope you enjoy them!

I think this is my favorite one

Guatemala Fundraiser

My husband and I had the opportunity to go to Guatemala in July as part of a Mission Trip with 12 other members of our church. We visited a couple of orphanges, painted a medical clinic, painted a chapel and led some Vacation Bible School events while down there. I was the team photographer for this trip and captured a lot of the beauty of this country. We were asked to lead another group back down there next summer. Our church is hoping to send 2 teams down possibly 3 each one doing something different and each team going at a different time. One possible idea is to send a medical team down, another team would possibly go down and work with a church that is already in place down there. This particular church is looking to build a bigger church and our team would help them find a location for it, clear it and start on the construction if not get it finished for them. The third team which my husband and I would lead down would work with the youth of a particular church down in Guatemala City. The members of our team would include the youth from our church as well as one of their parents. We are so excited and blessed to be given this opportunity and can't wait to get back down there, the people there are so nice and welcome you with open arms.

As a fundraiser for on going mission trips through our church we are selling greeting cards featuring some of the photos I took while on the trip. We have been selling them at church and I am also selling them in my etsy shop (klemanphotography.etsy.com) as well. I recently listed a few of the pictures as 5x7 prints, they look great in frames. All of the proceeds from the Guatemala prints and cards are going into our Mission and Ministry Fund at church to help fund future trips. The money will help pay for any supplies we need for our trips, travel, lodging and food costs. Here are a few of the pictures that are for sale.

Emerson's New Hat

So Sunday Emerson came up to me and said he wanted his picture taken with his new hat we bought the other day. I thought it was cute and said ok. So I got out my camera while Brian got him dressed and we headed to the park across the street for a little bit. Normally he doesn't sit still for pictures so we were surprised he wanted them done. We decided it would be best to let him decide where to go and Damian and Brian tried helping him pose. Most of the time he would sit still for about 20 seconds and take off again but that was ok because he was having fun with it. I was surprised when I got home to find that I actually got some good shots of him. Here are some of my favorites, enjoy.
